OUR STORY

In the 1930's, the Buzios Family emigrated from Portugal to Rio de Janeiro Brazil, where they opened a family “Tasca” (restaurant) and sold delicious meals. This “Tasca” was located nearby the famous Maracana Stadium. On the 16th July 1950, it hosted the first game of the World Cup with 199;854 spectators in attendance. The locals and travellers visiting fell in love with the delicious food from the stadium “Tasca”. The secret recipes were passed down to a select few family members, who eventually resided in South Africa.

This gave birth to the official Stadium Foodcourt which was opened in 1980, in Bloemfontein within walking distance from the Free State Stadium maintaining our traditional secret recipes from our forefathers. Welcome to our home. We trust that you enjoy experiencing our food just as much as we do preparing it.
